Sweet potato fries with carrots

André and I spent a few months improving our lifestyle with healthy and delicious food. We decided to completely change our diet and now we’re finally ready to share new recipes with you.

I have been researching and watching documentaries about GMO food and nutrition, re-organizing and changing the storage room, cleaning the fridge which helps detoxing our bodies and mind. I haven’t felt this good in at least two years (two years ago I started to eat meat and dairy products again).  My skin improved within a short time, I finally got rid of the inflammation I had on my right leg that I struggled with for some time.

I am no longer bloated, I finally lost the few extra kilos I gained during my meaty period. My hair is shiny and strong. We are super energised and our bodies are now fully detoxed. We highly recommend watching documentaries about food and educating oneself in these areas. It is easy to find protein, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals in amazing types of food that don’t contain animal protein.

We will be posting our plant-based recipes and inventions on this blog. We want to share with you our culinary creations. The plant-based lifestyle is delicious, colourful and healthy.

For today we prepared oven baked sweet potato fries with carrots, guacamole and tomato salad.

Cut sweet potato fries and carrots into slices. Remember to parboil carrots for 10 minutes before you put them in the oven. When carrots are ready, mix them together with the raw sweet potato fries. Add a bit of salt, pepper, basil, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, sweet paprika powder, ginger powder, cinnamon and a slash of olive oil.  Stick it all into the oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.

The guacamole was my boyfriend’s task. He is the guacamole master. I just love cooking with him. We always have so much fun in the kitchen. He has also decided to change his diet to plant-based (from an avid carnivore).  :)

Guacamole recipe: 1,5 avocado, tiny bit of dried garlic, half a teaspoon of lemon juice, dried basil leaves, marjoram, dried oregano and green onion, a bit of parsley, Himalaya salt. Grind it all together and voilà. :)

Super easy, delicious and healthy meal.
